What we do on a water damage job

Every water loss follows the same proven process. First we find and stop the source, or coordinate with your plumber. Then we extract standing water with truck-mounted and portable extractors, pull up wet carpet pad where needed, and set commercial dehumidifiers and air movers. We take moisture readings every day and document them for your insurance adjuster until every material is back to a dry standard.

  • Emergency water extraction and removal
  • Structural drying of walls, subfloors and cabinets
  • Moisture mapping with meters and thermal imaging
  • Flood cut and controlled demolition of wet drywall and baseboard
  • Antimicrobial treatment to prevent mold growth
  • Contents pack-out and drying

Why speed matters

Water moves fast. Within hours it wicks up drywall and into wood framing and cabinet bases. After 24 to 48 hours, mold can begin to grow on wet building materials. A fast response is the difference between a dry-out and a rebuild. That is why we answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Clean water, gray water and black water

Not all water is the same. Clean water from a supply line can often be dried in place. Gray water from appliances and black water from sewage backups or outside flooding carry contaminants, so affected porous materials must be removed and the area sanitized. We identify the category on the first visit and follow the right protocol for your family’s safety.

Common causes we see locally

Across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties we regularly handle slab leaks in older homes in Camarillo, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks, burst pipes and supply-line failures, water heater failures, roof and window leaks during winter storms, and flood and mud intrusion after heavy rain near hillsides and burn scars.

Working with your insurance

Most sudden and accidental water damage is covered by homeowners insurance. We work with all major carriers, photograph and document the loss, and bill your insurance company directly so you can focus on your family.
